How the Inverse Door Operates
The secret to Inverse Doors’ stealth appearance and minimal joint lines, is in the doors unique path of travel taken during opening and closing actions. As the door slides open to the left, it is simultaneously being pulled back on its right side. Closing actions are similar but opposite. The simultaneous actions eliminate the typical pinch points between doors and jambs, encountered with a variety of hinged doors.

About Us
A client decided to create a special entry from a room off the first floor foyer to a wine cellar below. The house was under construction, and ductwork, plumbing, electric wires and a residential elevator shaft were already installed in framed walls. In addition, an adjacent residential elevator shaft would infringe on the path of travel for a swing door on traditional offset or center pivots. There was not enough room for a two track sliding or pocket door with the ability to blend into adjacent surfaces. Inverse Door’s unique path of travel allowed all existing construction to remain.
The Inverse Door:
• is a USA based company, and so is technical support.
• consists of a unitized motor and controller assembly that can be mounted to frame or solid construction.
• is assembled in the USA with internationally sourced components.
• requires 120 AC power
IN DEVELOPMENT
We are working on a portal shelf. Our shelf will feature opening and closing functions similar to the Inverse Door, or as a center pivot swing . Portal activation will commence with an action as simple as moving an object located on one of it's shelves. Even better, it’s remote control features will allow client involvement in creating their own, entertaining opening experience.
